Not long after I posted my Malaysia trip that was happened on 2017, I get the invitation to go there again by my friend. Here's my journey story:)
Day 1. My flight from Jakarta landed at Kuala Lumpur airport after midnight. At first, I was planned to go to the hotel by KLIA train, but because my flight was delayed for 1 hour and it's already very late, my friend offer to pick me up at the airport and we went straight away to our hotel together by Grab.
(At the airport after I landed, I went straight away to Family Mart and found the FRUIT SANDWICH that I've always wanted. Happy~)
Day 2. In the next morning, we're getting ready to depart to Cherating beach, our primary destination. To go to Cherating, we have to take a bus for 4,5 hours. Btw, my friend booked the hotel near the bus station, so we went to the station just by walk. But first, breakfast. Across our hotel, I saw a street vendor which was surrounded by many people so we decided to take a look and turned up bought nasi lemak for each.

It was around noon when we arrived at Cherating. Our schedule are not tight, so we had many time to waste at the beach village. Unlike many beach, Cherating had very few visitors and it's so quite. Not many restaurant open when we get there, but we found a decent looking place for lunch. We walked right in and a waitress seated us immediately. Among variety of dishes, I selected toast with scramble egg and mushroom, also a glass of coffee, while my friend selected toast with avocado on top and mango juice which tastes so fresh.

On our way back to hotel we took a walk along the beach. There's only a few people there, which makes strolling a special pleasure. After lunch, we took a rest before I do swimming lesson. At night we headed over to firefly night cruise tour. For RM 30 for one hour tour, i feel like the price is too expensive despite of the memorable the boat tour is. Too bad I couldn't take a single picture because it was pitch black. Thousand of firefly or in Indonesia it's called kunang-kunang, hovering over the quite river and surround the trees. Along the way, our guide explain about firefly and all the information you could possibly haven't know about them. We also can touch the firefly as the guide turn his red light on. This experience incredibly special and feel magica. To end the night, we eat at local restaurant that serves seafood. No doubt that the place we visited is the most famous on the village. So many people, both local and tourist dine in this restaurant, and the foods are legit.

Day 3. Cherating isn't exactly at the top of most list when it comes to beach destination except for surfer. This beach is famed for the wave which is why we went there. My friend will go surfing and I learn to surf and swim with his help. The quiteness of this place make Cherating suitable for relaxation too. On day 3, we started a day by taking a brunch at our hotel (Residence Inn Cherating). We eat this:
Our plan for the third day is including learning how to do head stand pose yoga. My friend just finished his yoga school in Thailand and he already get the certificate so I can count him on that. After that, swimming lesson again and sea time. The highlight on our last day on Cherating of course the sea time!. It was the first time in my life I literally playing water on the sea. I did some things on the water like body surfing and floating. Thanks again to my friend who encourage me not to be afraid of the water and always have my back! I definitely enjoyed that moment and was filled with joy!:) It was just after raining and for some times, nobody was there. The beach was so quite and I had a few moments to clear my mind and felt a sense of peace.

Day 4. It's time to say goodbye to Cherating and heading to KL. We depart from the village around 10 am after having breakfast nearby the hotel. Apparently, the breakfast place we visit draws crowd with their local food. Lot of people coming here when we got there and we happened to have a chat with one of them. And we eaten nasi lemak (again).
After that, we had to catch the bus from Kualanamu station which takes around 20 minutes by Grab Car from the hotel. The bus ticket fare is RM 29 and it has cozy interior, better than the bus we took before.
We finally make it to our next accommodation after 4,5 hours trip. This time we stayed in KL Sentral Bangsar Suites (EST) by Luxury Suites Asia. The apartment is very convenient and it has direct access to the LRT which we're thankful for at this point. We didn't have anything else planned beside having dinner at our favorite restaurant in China Town called Kim Lian Kee and stopped by at the mall to bought some things.

Day 5. I went home to Jakarta on Saturday because I have appointment with my doctor in the afternoon. My flight is around midday, so we have plenty of time to wander around the apartment facilities. There are a pool and a library in the building so I decided to take some photos there. We're so lucky by the time we reached here, there's almost nobody so we freely take pictures:) Here's some:
The trip was good and it also marks our friendship which turns 4 years old this year.
Xoxo,
Sha~
