Warung Bu Ageng, Yk

Everytime I visit Jogja, I try to come to place I've never visited before and meeting some old pals. This time, i've got a chance to meet my very best old buddies in a new place. Combo!

Actually Dito, my friend suggested me to come to some names but I didnt really excited because some places he has mentioned are serving western food, some food I easily find in Jakarta.

At that time I wanted to eat home cooking food. So after some silly arguments in the car *this is why I love befriend wit' em :p*, there I went, a place called Warung Bu Ageng, owned by the fame Butet Kartaredjasa.

The little road along, brought back memories, because my old work place located beside it.

Anyway, Tirtodipuran street is a little area, famous by galleries, western cafes and budget hotels for tourist. Some people also call this as 'artist area'. The place is not too far from ISI, the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, which make it makes sense. It's a different air when u got to that place. Very alive, and many cool spots u can get dizzy just to pick one :)

I wish I had taken more photos to show.. It is definitely worth a visit if you missing home cooking food or Javanese food, or simply want to relax with buddies in a cozy place.

Warung Bu Ageng located in Jalan Tirtodipuran no. 13 Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta, about about 15 minute away from downtown, open from Tuesday until Sunday (close on Monday).
